Quilombera was born from a deep love for Afro-Colombian rhythms and was first known as Suma Qamaña. The band’s founder, Bruno — an Argentine musician — discovered the vibrant power of traditional Caribbean coast music and immersed himself in its drums, dances, and spirit for years.
Life’s journey later brought him to Canada, but the rhythm never left him. There, he connected with musicians from around the world who shared his passion — and together, they evolved into Quilombera. A multicultural ensemble rooted in tradition and united by rhythm, Quilombera brings the fire of Afro-Colombian music to new places and new hearts.
